Gosh, I'm not biased or anything, but it seems as if they should spread the wealth around...kind of like the Yanks. As a die hard Twins fan, I salute you Gardy. You are my number one.

You Deserve More Gardy!
For the fifth time, Ron Gardenhire was the runner up for the manager of the year award. Mike Scoiscia got it. Did you see the post season Angels in action???? I mean come on, Gardy has worked his tail off and deserves this award!

151 days
Only 151 days until season opener. When I heard that Target Field was going to be an outdoor stadium I thought they were nuts. But now, I have adjusted and am so excited to experience baseball in it's natural setting. On my way to and from my boyfriend's house I see the stadium all lit up and my heart palpitates a little.
Just imagine, you're running a little late for a game and you reach the outside of the field, you will actually be able to hear the crowd roaring. The metrodome had its advantages, no rain/weather delays, no sunburn, no birds pooping on you. But since the beginning of the sport, that is how it's been played and I am amped up for the 2010 season.

Go Go Goes
Well, the Twins traded Carlos Gomez. What is my reaction? Eh. That's about it. The things I didn't like about Gomez were his overdramatic antics. It seemed as if every time he got in the batter's box, he got hurt. The one thing I think Carlos did well was defense. He had some amazing catches out in center field, but he was no Kirby.
In return, the Twins got J.J. Hardy the shortstop from the Brewers. It might be what we need, some new blood. However, I am still convinced what we need is some new pitching blood.
Boof, Slowey and Neshek are all back on the roster, hopefully that'll help us early next season.
There's a new commercial out for Target Field, it's hilarious!!! I love the Twins commercial, they are so creative and humorous.

It's a beautiful November day! The sun is out, I might even consider getting on my harley and riding a bit. So the end of baseball season came and went and I feel like I'm missing an arm. This is the first off season that I actually feel like it's an off season. At first I thought that I would die without the twins, then the post season came and it satiated me, but now what?
I used to be a giant football fan and now when I turn on a game my response is, "hmmm football's on, no big deal." Of course it is somewhat exciting that we have a good quarterback this year. Farve is making it an exciting season.
Well, I'm going to get off my computer and enjoy the day.
Hope wherever you are is as nice as here.

Those Damn Yankees
The Yankees (or skankees as I like to call them) have won the world series for the ten thousandth time. I guess it makes sense since they spent $192 million for the players this season. I guess it's also fit that they won it in their new $1.5 billion stadium. Money can buy you anything huh?
Even though they haven't won a series since 2000, but man does it seem like they always win! Cripes, the Twins haven't won a world series since 1991, they are so due (not as bad as the cubbies though).
Phillies played terrible tonight! I really wished it went to game 7, but oh well. Quite the star studded attendance at Yankee Stadium tonight, of course Kate Hudson and Kurt Russell, Loren Michaels and Jimmy Fallon, Donald Trump, Regis, Spike Lee. I once saw Al Franken at the Metrodome, but after the election this year, I was no impressed.
Up late again, trying to get the hang of blogging. Hang in there!

Homework
I've been doing homework all day long! I finish one assignment and there's another one, like pulling a kleenex from the box and the next one pops up.
I realize that I want this to be a baseball blog, but since there is no game on tonight, I thought I'd stray from the topic.
Homework has been kicking my butt. I feel as if I cannot catch up. The overwhelming sensation is in high gear. However, I am not a quitter. Well, I was before, but now I am not now. It's the new me. Ya know I could continue righting aimlessly, but in fear that I might sound like a loon, I'm going to sit back and watch sons of anarchy and the biggest loser while I whittle away at homework. Later folks!

First Entry Among Many
I watched the movie The Fan with Robert DiNero and Wesley Snipes and it scared me that I could relate to DiNero's role. I LOVE baseball, the game, the players, the smell, the sounds, the tastes and the entire experience. I named my blog, "The Sixth Inning" because the Minnesota Twins this season, had so many games with amazing sixth innings. It seemed to be the magic inning in '09.
I guess I'll tell you a few things about myself. My name is Sarah. I'm 32 years old living in Saint Paul, Minnesota. I wanted to do a blog where I attended every single game for a season with the Twins, but I do not have the funds for that. Instead, I will have to improvise.
Sit back, relax, enjoy the comical scenes of my life.
